Putting the Spectades Safety Blueprint into practice

Spectades put the Safety Blueprint into practice for a large company specialised in the storage and transhipment of oil. The challenge facing the client was to optimise routine permits for dozens of terminals in an equally large number of countries. A large terminal can issue between 100 and 200 work permits each day. That is why the client’s largest terminals have been using a permit to work system since 2017. Their challenge was to also equip the other terminals with this system and optimise it.

Infor EAM

They looked into the possibilities of using the Infor EAM Permit to Work module at an early stage. They were already using this system at each site, and so it was integrated in their business operations. Furthermore, there are additional benefits to using the enterprise asset management solution for work permits:

It is also necessary to look at a system that is easy to administer centrally, as not every site has a comprehensive IT department. This client soon opted for the Infor EAM cloud solution. This enabled them to easily roll out the set-up to all of their sites.

Our client was already using a system in the Netherlands that it had developed itself. Although the system was too small and was not sufficiently reliable, the users were extremely satisfied with the functionality. “We were used to the functionality of the system that we had, and we wanted to use this in Infor too.
